Annual WiB Mentor Program

Applications for the 2026 Mentor Program open soon.

Women in Business (WIB) are committed to supporting the ongoing personal and professional development of women in our community.

The program satisfies many of our strategic objectives including to educate, empower, inspire, motivate, support, advocate and celebrate our members.

Our annual mentoring program connects members of Women in Business with successful Riverina women for one-to-one mentoring to support personal and professional growth.

As well as supporting high-potential women to realise their career and leadership goals, the program provides current leaders with the opportunity to develop their mentoring skills.

In addition to one-on-one mentoring, The Women in Business committee supplement the program with a range of opportunities and activities throughout the year, including opportunities to get together with other mentees and expand networks.

The program is financially supported by Women in Business and offered to members free of charge. Mentors generously donate their time for the benefit of their fellow women.

There are up to ten places available annually.

  • If you are seeking some guidance, inspiration and professional growth you should apply.

The program is open to all financial members of Women in Business. It does not matter if you are mid, early or late career, work for yourself or are employed, the benefits of mentoring are invaluable.

The program is not a business start-up program. It focuses on helping with your personal and professional development by drawing on the experience and expertise of other successful women.

    WIB welcomes and supports diversity.

    • The program begins in February each year with an introductory session where you get to connect with fellow participants and we outline program expectations.

    • Mentees set their own personal and professional goals

    • Mentors work with mentees to provide the guidance and advice need based on their extensive experience.

    • Meetings times and frequency are mutually agreed. One meeting per month is usual but many opt for more or less.

    • The program finishes in November with a celebratory graduation dinner.

  • The WIB Mentor Program Committee is responsible for matching mentors and mentees. The information you provide in your application helps us to do this so the more we understand about your hopes and goals the better.

Important Note: Mentoring is aimed at individual development. It is not a business development program and mentors are not there as business advisors. For this reason, you should not expect to be matched with someone in the same profession or business area.
