Dr Suzanne Haining - Employee Engagement Specialist, Envicto Coaching

1.What is your work/passion/side hustle?

Before moving to Australia, I was an academic for 15 years, which I loved (even when delivering lectures to large groups of people!)! As part of that journey, I completed my PhD, which is underpinned by positive psychology and motivational theory.

Now living in Australia, my husband and I have joined forces and established Envicto Coaching. Together, we deliver bespoke education and coaching solutions to develop leaders and motivate teams – it’s amazing and we are on a mission to change the workplace in Wagga (and beyond)!

2. Beyond the 9 to 5 – what do you live for?

Gaining life experiences, which are usually attached to travel, food, the theatre and mountain biking! I absolutely love to explore the world, experiencing new cultures and tasting different cuisines. I am a foodie at heart - whether it's street food in Bangkok, a lovely restaurant in London or a homecooked meal by family, I am happy! I try to stay active to offset my love for food, and I especially enjoy mountain biking, climbing, and skiing. I also love the West End! I am a first time mum to a 2 year old boy and am loving sharing these experiences with him.

3. How did you land in Wagga - Are you Wagga born and bred, grew up here moved away and returned, moved here later in life and stayed because you love it, or something else that landed you here?

My story to Wagga is crazy, exciting and romantic. If you want the full version, let's meet for a coffee! The very short version is this – my husband is Australian! We had a fluke meeting a while back and spent a year doing a long distance relationship from England to Australia…eventually, someone must move, so I did! We eloped on a beach and now have a blended family and have added a little boy to the mix.

4. Woman (famous or not) you are most inspired by and why?

My mum! She is the most positive and optimistic person you will meet and has a wonderful relationship with my dad. I miss them incredibly but am so grateful for their ongoing support.
