Local Speaker Series: From Startup to Success with Ann Sutton & Bronwyn Boyle

Each quarter, hear from your fellow Women In Business members as they share their expertise, knowledge and professional tips on a variety of topics in a casual, welcoming setting. This month we are excited to welcome Ann & Bronwyn as they offer some valuable guidance around starting and developing a business.

Our monthly catch-ups see plenty of laughs and new friendships, we can't wait to see everyone (and more new faces!!) at this month’s event!

About the speakers:

Ann Sutton – Managing Director, Orlando Hudson Business Services

Ann Sutton managed their family IGA Supermarket at Coolah for 18 years, sat on the NSW/ACT IGA State Board for 7 years, was first female Chairperson of that Board, chaired their Culture, Governance & Compliance Committee and also sat on the IGA National Council.

She is a graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course and was a nominee for the Telstra Business Women’s Awards.

Since moving to Wagga she has become Vice-Chair of the Eastern Riverina Arts Board and is Vice President at the Riverine Club. She is also a certified coach for DiSC Workplace Behavioural Profiling. Over the past 3 ½ years Ann has worked both locally and online across NSW, with start-ups and SME’s as a BEC Business Advisor.

She recently attained her MBA at Macquarie University Business School.

Topics she will cover:

• Major considerations for those intending to start a business, then key requirements in setting yourself up, like ABN and Business Name Registration, etc. as well as the importance of a business plan and a financial budget.

• Workplace cohesion creates a better and more productive work environment. I will discuss benefits of DiSC Workplace Behavioural Profiling which enables understanding yourself and work colleague/client behavioural patterns and provides strategies to work more effectively and productively together.

Bronwyn Boyle, Owner at Bronwyn Boyle Consulting

Bronwyn made the move to Wagga in 2020 from Melbourne to be near family and has made her home here buying a tree change home in Ladysmith. Her purchase of BNI (Business Network International) Riverina Murray means she’s not going anywhere anytime soon. 

Passionate about supporting local businesses to grow through networking opportunities and strong business relationships is just one way she spends her time. 

Bronwyn Boyle is an archetypal consultant. She graduated with a degree in journalism and wrote for Western Australian Newspapers before working in the justice system in managerial position’s for for the WA Department of Justice. She began studying human behaviour and personal development while working in the justice system, gaining multiple qualifications. She studied with and was mentored by Caroline Myss, renowned expert of archetypes, for over a decade. She has run her own business as an Archetypal consultant teaching workshops to private and corporate groups since 2008.

This hybrid blend of corporate and personal development expertise is grounded in a fascination of ‘why people do what they do’. Bronwyn combines this with her vast experience of travelling the world and her tenacity, bringing her to where she is today.

Bronwyn has spent much of her time in the US, with regular trips to the UK. She works with people all over the world from individuals to small businesses, inspired by helping people find the "you" in each and every life role.
