Belinda King (along with husband Andrew Conkey) launched King Events in 2006, following a career in event management in Sydney, London and Scotland. Working across Australia, King Events have organised everything from music, food, wine and youth festivals through to New Year Eve celebrations, awards ceremonies, conferences, weddings, private parties, corporate events, launches and roadshows.

Belinda has been involved with many regional festivals and events including Tumbafest, La Festa, the Regional Tourism Awards, Australia Regional Tourism (ART) Convention, Artlands and Artstate and the Winter Bites Festival.

In 2016, King Events launched the Regional Events Conference – an opportunity to bring together event professionals from across the country to share ideas and insights, tackle topics like accommodation shortages, risk and marketing, and of course make connections that endure well beyond the conference.

Off the back of the conference, Belinda launched the Eventualities podcast in 2020 – an opportunity to showcase and shine a light on some of Australia’s most iconic and well-known regional events.

Andrew and Belinda were shareholders (and Belinda was Licensee) of Romano’s Hotel between 2016 – 2021.

Belinda sits on the Board of Destination Riverina Murray and lives in Wagga with Andrew and their two sons.
