Emma Grant is a proud Wagga business owner, community advocate, and returned local who moved back with her two daughters after 20 years away. She is the owner and director of River & Wren Market — Wagga’s much-loved handmade market — which she has grown into a vibrant hub for local creatives, small businesses, and community connection. River & Wren is also a key driver of tourism, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond, supporting everything from local accommodation to cafés, boutiques, and other small businesses. In 2025, the market was honoured as a finalist in the Wagga Wagga Business Chamber Golden Crow Awards in two categories: Outstanding New Business and Outstanding Visitor Experience.

After a 25-year career in accounting — most recently at Selby Watson & Co — Emma made a bold career change and now works as a Case Management Officer with the Department of Communities and Justice at Junee Gaol. This transition reflects her drive to do heart-led, purpose-driven work that supports others.

Emma continues to champion women and small business across the Riverina through her Facebook group We Are Riverina Women, now 3,000+ women strong. She is a proud member and Treasurer of CWA Uranquinty Evening Branch and an active committee member of CanAssist Wagga Wagga.

Previously, she has served as a Board Member for Women in Business Wagga Wagga, a trustee of the Cec & Kathleen Toy Memorial Trust, and a committee member for Taster Property and the Estella Progress Association.

Always up for a laugh (you’ll hear her before you see her), Emma is known for her authentic approach, community spirit, and unwavering belief in the power of women backing women. She's always on the lookout for ways to support her community and help others thrive.
